Which infectious diseases are emerging?

Why are they emerging?

Who is most affected?

What can we do to prevent and control them?

The International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases was first convened in 1998; ICEID 2015 marks its ninth occurence. The conference brings together public health professionals to encourage the exchange of scientific information on global emerging infectious disease issues in the United States and abroad.

Major subjects to be covered in 2015 include:

  • Antimicrobial Resistance
  • Bioterrorism & Preparedness
  • Foodborne & Waterborne Illnesses
  • Global Health
  • Molecular Diagnostics & Epidemiology
  • Nosocomial Infections
  • Socio-economic & Political Factors
  • Vectorborne Diseases
  • Zoonotic Diseases

Please save the new meeting dates: August 24–26, 2015
Many of you are taking front line roles in response to the Ebola outbreak, making the timing of a March conference challenging.  In order to bring you the strongest program possible, and ensure that the full community is able to attend, we have rescheduled the conference to August.
